Design data (example)

Design parameters

According to UN/ECE Regulation No. 55:

Trailer mass reduced to the towing hook (coupling), S = 70 kg.

Horizontal force at the towing hook (coupling), D = 1.5 kN.

Design data

External forces

– FX = 1500 N, horizontal axial force;

– FY = 300 N, horizontal transverse force;

– FZ = 700 N, vertical force.

Operating and design constraints

Operating constraints: type of vehicle it is fitted to: passenger car or light commercial vehicle; type of external loading: alternating, with shocks; temperature range (−30…40) °C.

Design and mounting constraints: hook mounting variant: ATDs/ATDj; protection against environmental factors: anti-corrosion; interchangeability at the towing coupling/hook; modularity: the imposed dimensions can be modified (reduced).

Environmental constraints: use of eco-friendly materials and technologies, recycling of materials, safety and protection of life.
